Ye

[Cao Pi]

New capital of Yuan Shao's kingdom

Outside of Ye, the day was quite bland. The sun didn't shine with it's usual radiance and clouds obscured the crystal blue sky like a permanent veil over a pretty face.
Kumi was sat on her horse, looking towards Ye as if she had no idea what this place was, and why it was located where it was. Obviously, she was here for one reason and one reason only. And she wasn't after sexual fulfillment or money.
The fact Kumi was actually going to go up to someone and ask to join her force saddened her a little. She'd always imagined some amazingly handsome, long-haired general would burst through her door and beg her to join his Lord... Or maybe even if the Lord looked like that. 'That would be nice...' Kumi said recalling a little dramatization of the aforementioned dream. Yet, she was sat here on her white horse, which had already once ran into a giant collapsed tree, forcing Kumi to change her clothing. Despite having this horse for a while, Kumi generally didn't like it. It was fast - very fast - but it's stupidity negated any postivity it contained. It keeps running at large inanimate objects and tends to get swept down rivers with no current. Rivers generally more like streams. And sometimes you wouldn't even class as a puddle. Kumi patted her horse while she insulted it in her mind, recalling the time not so long ago it ran into the collapsed tree.

Kumi nudged her horse with her foot and it proceeded slowly towards the gates of Ye. Very slowly. 'Seriously?! The man that gave me this horse must be having a right old laugh right now.'

When Kumi reached the gates, the guard looked at her as her horse made it's final tedious approach, then she hopped off the horse and it ran back the way they both came. Kumi looked at the guard and the guard looked back. They both held a puzzled look.
"I'd complain, but this happens alot" Kumi said to the guard.
"Okay. I take it you have some business here." The guard questioned Kumi.
"Yes, I seek an audience with your Lord, Yuan Shao."
The guard looked at Kumi for a moment, scanned her body then made eye-contact again.
"Your not looking for a new horse, are you?"
"Uhmm, no. I'd like to join his cause." Kumi replied, with a facial expression that said: Did you really ask me that?
The guard let Kumi pass after another short exchange of words and Kumi proceeded to the Palacial Estate.

After she got there, she was taken to a big room and told to wait - which she did. All the while, thinking whether she should ask for a new horse off Yuan Shao also...

Yuan Shao was in his throne room, there hadn't been a war in a while and he was looking at his sword. He sighed and then there was a knock on the door, it was a guard.
"Lord Shao, a man is here to see you."
"Ok send him in."
The man entered.
"So, what business do you have here? You want to join the cause?

[Inoue Kumikõ]

Kumi walked in as she was told by the mediocre guard and as she did she eyed up the man sitting on his 'throne.'
He wasn't exactly what Kumi expected him to be, he was older if anything. Kumi wasn't listening when he said something to her, but given the circumstances and unless he was completely mentally challenged, he probably said something like 'So, you wanna be joining me?'
For some reason, Kumi imagined him saying that in a stereotypical pirate voice.
"Isn't it obvious?" Kumi replied, with a blunt but serious tone "I'm obviously an assassin sent from the land of Wa to take your head back to our Lady Himiko." Kumi laughed after her statement. It was a fake laugh, but convincing.
"Of course I'm here to help you... If I was an assassin I'd wait until you were somewhere else... Hmm..." Kumi contemplated becoming a hired assassin then looked back at Yuan Shao.
"So, Lord Shao, would you accept my help, or turn me away for having such a delightful sense of humour?"

Yuan watched the woman as she made joke, Shao laughed but then was serious. He rubbed his chain whilst watching the woman
"Ok, you may join. Welcome aboard" Yuan shao said as he extended his arm towards her.
