Rui Takiri leaned forward on the edge of bed before smashing his face against the ground. Blood trickled from his broken nose but he didn't have the energy to pick himself up. He was thin and useless, he was neither leader nor pirate anymore. He was barely a man as his condition continued to grew worse over time and his life was dire danger. He was going to die, there wasn't anything anyone could do to change that now.
He didn't bother screaming for help, he didn't want to be a burden upon any of his friends or family. He didn't want to continue on through life anymore. He thought about Kouji and how he lost him to Lu Bu. Kouji was dead now so it left a black mark upon Rui's heart.
Tears rolled down his face as he slowly picked himself up from the wooden floor boards and staggered out of his room. He stood on the deck beneath the cold glow of the silver moon that hung above him in the black sky. He had taken Hui Ji and made it strong again but now he knew the city would be safer in the hands of Kenshi and Wei Ning.
"They will command the pirates from now on. I have done all I can for this crew." Rui whispered as he laid down on the deck of the 'Red Siren' and awaited death to claim his feeble form. His breathing slowed and he stared blankly at the empty ship that surrounded him. He had failed to prove his worth and his dream was left uncompleted but he hoped that his name would not faded from the docks.
