Battle of Jian An

[Cao Cao]

After taking Jian Ye, Wu sets their sites on the harbor city of Jian An. The forces of Wu will not stop until they unify all of Jiang Dong for the name of Sun Jian. Though Jian An will not just let them walk in there and take their city. They will not go out without a fight. Who will prevail?



Forces of Wu must post the troops they are bringing with them on their first post. The first posts will act as pre-battle posts. I will be controlling the forces of Jian An and when I post my battle post, I will post my troop count.

The mod for this battle is Cao Cao.

Sun Jian sat upon his horse as his army approached Jian An from the east, with Wei Huan on his right and the new recruit, Dai Fu on his left. He raised his sword, "Men, we shall win this battle and become one step closer in uniting Jiangdong!", as his men cheered, "Let us march to Jian An. Wei Huan shall be the Van. Dai Fu, you go with him, I'll hang back to act as support once we reach the forest".

He then put his sword back into its holder, then raised his left hand, as a messenger came to him, "Take a horse and take this to Yan Xing immediately". The messenger nodded, then quickly rushed onto a horse and rushed toward Jian An.

Marching directly south from his prefecture of Lu Jiang , Zhou Yu would arrive from the north together with his comrade in arms Zhu Huan and over 3000 Wu troops. Together they would assist Lord Sun Jian in first battle for control of Jiang Dong. His son Sun Ce with a little help had already pacified Jian Ye. Now it was time for the rest of the river lands to bow down to Wu. Zhou Yu did not doubt they would try and fight back but he also did not doubt with the combined power of Wu they would be able to oppose them.

Lu Jun, after marching for a few days from Wu, finally arrives on the battlefield. His son, Xun, was sitting to his right, also mounted on a horse. He looked to his father, who nodded.

"All ranged attacking units, follow my son. The infantry and the men handling the siege equipment, follow me!" The spearmen and swordsmen line up in formation and follow Jun. The archers and crossbowmen follow Lu Xun, who stays a hundred feet behind Jun's.


OOC: Jun and Xun have arrived from the east. Jun takes the infantry and siege weapons and heads towards Jian An. Xun leads the archers and follows Jun.

Dai Fu was in Jian An in his first battle in Sun Jian's forces.

After a little walk with Wei Huan, he said Lord Sun Jian is an amazing person, isn't he? He always puts his homeland in first place. And this is what dragged me to him, among other reasons, of course. He saw some enemy soldiers in the distance and went there. [/color]I guess our duel will have to wait![/color], he said while running.

Yan Xing looked over the letter one more time, shaking his head in disbilef at what it said. Sun Jian had sent him a letter asking him to surrender his city, HIS city!! He says that it is in the best intrest of Jiang Dong, who or what gave him the idea to decide what is wrong or right? He is not the Emperor, he is just some old veteran who killed a couple of pirates, big deal! Automatically, he denied his request, and now, only a couple days later, and there is an army sitting on his doorstep. This rebels underestimate the power and the will of Jian An and it's citizens, who would fight to their dying breath to save this city from falling into these rebel's hands. The time for talk is over, the time for action is now!

Yan called forth his generals of battle and said to them,"Okay men, you know what to do. I want you to set up our defenses, and get the crossbow men up on the walls and when they get into range, fire at will. Also, set up the catapults. I want them ready to fire as soon as they come in range. Make sure they don't even get close to the gate, cause if they don't, they will not take this city. Now go, quickly!!"The officers bowed to Yan and they headed out to do what they were ordered to do.

(EDIT: Forgot to mention that I will update the battle when I get the time. I should be able to this weekend.)

[Zhou Yu]

(not a lot to post really let)

Zhou Yu's army moved south quickly toward the north wall. They would stop just outside of the defenders range to set up his catapults and siege weapons. Once his allies were also ready the attack could begin. Some of his men left on a secret mission. (strategy PMed to mod)

[Lu Xun {Zeffy}]

Lu Jun and Lu Xun's men march and also stop when they reach about 50 yards out of the defenders' range, just in case some of the archers were good shots. They set up their siege weapons and rest, preparing for a long haul to the city tomorrow. The crossbowmen and archers under Xun's command ready their weapons to fire upon the soldiers on the enemy walls.

[Sun Jian]

Sun Jian with Wei Huan infront taking control of his forces continued marching towards the city. He tried sending a letter to Yan Xing but seems he was up for a fight. If a fight is what he wants, then a fight is what he'll get, as his forces continued to charge towards Jian An. Just by standing against him after he and Ce had fought off Bandits off his land, he still dares to attack Wu. He does not care for the people, only for himself to have a city of his own, which would soon be removed. Sun Jian only wished that he had took the appropriate course of action.

Under the basis that I will not be active enough to mod this battle, and that there are no other mods that are active to do this that will be un-biased, I am auto-ending this battle.

Wu, after having the lord of Jian An give it some thought, is given the city of Jian An, under the condition that they are kept safe from foreign attack.
