Lu Bu returns (Burai)

Han Zhong, a fortress in its our right. Once belonged to Zhang Lu now under the control of Yen Wang, a formidable warrior who rose against Yuan Shao and created his own empire. A man that matches Lu Bu trait wise, Strong, feared, ambitious and unloyal. Two men that fight only for personal gain, two men that could only be stooped by a woman. Would this be a great pairing, only time would tell.

Lu Bu, along with Gao Shun and Hua Xiong and all the cash they had approached Han Zhong, 200 metres from the walls to be exact. Lu Bu had his halberd drawn just in case a fight occurred, however joining a lord was his main priority. The brains and wisdom in the group came from Gao Shun, he used his intelligence to get Lu Bu out of bother but if that failed Gao Shun was also a skilled warrior aswell as Hua Xiong.

They had got closer to the gate, Lu Bu signalled to the guards on the wall to open the gates. Not knowing what could happen next, Hua Xiong and Gao Shun drew their weapons and waited along with Lu Bu to see if they were allowed to enter or would they have to stand fight.

[Yen Wang (Burai)]

“My Lord!” A guard came knocking at his door.

Yen Wang rolled over and sighed “Come in.”

The messenger did as instructed, but remained at the doorway. “M-m’lord, A group of man stand outside your city gates, and one of them is Lu Bu!”

Yen Wang yawned and sat up slowly, “Who?” He never heard of that name before. “That is quite the name. Am I supposed to be shocked?” He didn’t fear any mortal, who would come to Han Zhong?, didn’t they know this was his domain. Did they wish to challenge him, and steal his from him?”

The messenger looked at Yen Wang oddly; his eyes shot open and stared at him. “You can’t be serious!?”

Yen Wang frowned and glared at the man, “You doubt me!?” He quickly rose to his feet and grabbed his weapon; he twirled his tri-staff around. “You doubt me? Stand up and face your judgment.”

The messenger knelt down and bowed his head, “My lord I did not wish to challenge you, I am only concerned.”

Yen Wang withdrew his weapon, “If you’re so concerned wake Rasa tell him I will need him along my side and alert the guards; have them double the patrols."

Yen Wang sighed, "Let them in the city I saw wait for them at the gardens; if they do anything overly suspicious eradicate them...If it comes to this, and I must interfere you and my army will undergo more time in the pits.”

“Yes My lord!” The messenger left Yen Wang’s chambers to do as he was told.

Yen Wang took the time to put on some pants. He slowly made his way down from his chambers and down to the city streets. The people in the streets all fled to their homes, as they saw archers and their lord roaming the streets.

As instructed the guards doubled their patrol. The messenger cautiously walked out to greet the guests. “I will ask politely once. Please withdraw your weapons, and state your business."

As Lu Bu and his troop moved closer towards the gates, they opened. They were asked to withdraw their weapons, which they did.
"I am Lu Bu, i'm here to offer my services to your Lord. Please take us to him."

[Yen Wang (Burai)]

The messenger was relieved to hear that they would do as they were told. With that and mind he turned around and began to escort them into the city. He secretly hoped that this wouldn't turn out to be disastrous battle. His lord ordered the guards to be on high alert, and to double the patrol.

Lu Bu spoke about joining his lord. Lord Yen Wang, if he would join Yen Wang his army would be quite ferocious. But, his lord didn't have any patience for insolence. As they walked the messenger turned around. "If you want to join our lords cause, and gain his favor. don't forget your manners."

Yen Wang approached the group; as he arrived he motioned to the messenger.

The messenger nodded and quickly scurried to his side, "M'lord Lu Bu wishes to join you."

Yen Wang tilted his head to the side, as he heard the man's intentions. "You wish to join me, tell me what do I gain from having you in my army." The question was simple, yet it had a hidden motive. Yen Wang needed to see this man's resolve could he possibly serve Yen Wang, without weakness? Without hesitation? Without fear? More important, Yen Wang's officers were all loyal to him; one way or another.

The messenger was more than happy to let Lu Bu in to meet his lord, however he was reminded about his manors. They were going towards Yen Wang's throne room but he had came to meet them personally. He conferred with the messenger and adressed Lu bu.

"What do you gain my lord? You gain 3 great warriors who will be loyal to you and will die for you." Lu Bu spoke to him confidently but remembered what the messenger said to him.
"... Sir" He bowed his head toward Yen Wang and smiled in embarrassment at his mistake.

[Yen Wang (Burai)]

"..." Yen Wang stared at the three of them, oddly. "I would like to see how great you truly are. Unfortunately, Rasa hasn't arrived yet. Perhaps I can come up with something else. To the west of Han Zhong is Wu Du. I would like you to be my envoy and tell Yang Ren. I want him to surrender the city to me. If not...conquer it, Me and my troops will be waiting out side the city walls."

It wasn't a perfect plan, but it was a plan. Lu Bu well have his moment to prove that he is serious about joining Yen Wang. And, Yen Wang can see how great Lu Bu truly is.
