A Chance Encounter (MGZ)

[Kang Ren]

Kang Ren patrolled the city of Xu Chang like he always did. He patrolled once every week. It gave the people something to look at. Cao Cao was gone, they were afraid, but after seeing their new stout leader gave them a little confidence. If this man was this strong under all this pressure maybe he could lead them. Inside, he was scared. Such a huge responsibility was thrust upon his shoulders. He wasn't ready for it, but he accepted it readily. Now he was second guessing it.

After a little while, he stopped on the outskirts of the city and closed his eyes. His face was weathered from being on the run constantly. He leaned his head back and sighed. He sat their for a few moments before dismounting. A small pond laid near him and he slipped over to it. He got on his hands and knees and got a drink from it. He laid his back against a rock that was nearby and he drifted asleep.

[Sun Qing Liang]

Mi gazed at the structure she had always despised. A city that hoarded the safety of the family whom caused her pain and misery. Throughout her childhood she hated her family as much as they hated her. Liang was the closest thing she had to family, a person she can drowned all her sorrows in and not worry about them thinking any less of you. The person you can act weak around without them talking advantage of that weakness. She walked around a lake in the outskirts of the city and sensed someone approaching. Avoiding the chance of her getting caught she ducked down behind a rock on the opposite side of the person lying down on another rock identical to hers. She kept an eye on him while watching her surroundings.

She took a closer look at his uniform and narrowed her eyes. "Wei..." She said with a grimaced look on her face. She readied her scythe behind her and stood up to get a better aim. She never really liked taking people by surprise because it only ruined the fun of killing someone, but she thought she would have to deal with it this time. She swung her scythe in his direction and hurled it. It flew straight over the lake and at the rock he was resting on. She unsheathed her swords in anticipation for her scythe to miss. She shifted her swords to run up the length of her arm and stood there to watch the short show.

[Kang Ren]

As soon as the Scythe contacted the ground Kang Ren bolted up and unsheated his sword. He looked around and saw Mi Gong Zhu and his eyes narrowed. He was wearing his solid black scale cuirass, but his blue Wei tunic stood out underneath. He was wary, he wished not to fight. He calmly stood his ground. He looked at the woman before him. He was put off by the girl's young appearance, but he didn't let that get to him. He looked at her eyes and could see she had experience. He nodded at her and said cautiously, "I believe you dropped your scythe. Or maybe you have thrown it at me. If you have I really don't want to start a fight."

[Sun Qing Liang]

" Gah! Wei is full of tightwads.... no fun at all.." She said while she sulked and sheathed her swords. "Fine have it your way." She grunted. Her blades needed the warmth of blood, but Mi thought they could survive a little longer until some bandits come passing by. They were more frequent with their appearances than any other year. Mi walked over to the man with hateful eyes and detached her scythe from the cold ground. She attached the weapon to a strap on her back and sat down on the rock the man had been sleeping on. "So what is a person of your stature doing out in the open and not in the city. An inch or two closer and I would've taken the head of the new leader of Wei My Lord." She said with a disgusted yet interested smile.

Mi looked at him and pondered around his leadership for a bit. With his post she might be able to find a good doctor in Wei of all places. Liang needed medical attention fast or else she could be in serious danger. Mi took out her bladed fan and started to cool herself off with a repeated flick of her wrist.

[Kang Ren]

Kang Ren smiled grimly. This girl was annoying. Kang Ren said nothing about it and chuckled, "So you people already know that I have taken over Wei? I didn't really wish to publicize that. But I guess it couldn't be helped." Kang Ren said. He watched her closely as she cooled herself off and he smiled slightly. He bent down and picked up his helmet off the ground, "Tell me, why are you here? I doubt you have come to Wei to just taunt me. If you are I must say that it will not work."

Kang Ren dusted himself off and unsheated his sword. He sat down on a boudler and took out a whetstone. He began to sharpen his long sword. It was nothing, but there was something dark in his gesture. It was an unsettling silence with only the sharpening of his blade could be heard.

[Sun Qing Liang]

Mi wondered about his question. He wasn't too dumb to think of her visit as a simple kind gesture to Wei since she hated Wei. "Hmm... you can just take it as a simple stroll through the junkyards of China." She said with a smile on her face. Cursing Wei was a thing to do out of boredom to Mi, but nothing done too seriously. Wei was a great nation full of people who Mi plan and simply didn't find interesting, but have gained a lot of publicity since the death of the treacherous dog Dong Zhuo. Mi was about to give up on her search for a doctor to cure Liang until she stumbled upon this ironic blessing.

"Actually I've been looking for a doctor to help my friend with her illness.." She said while she crossed her legs and watched him sharpen his sword."But wouldn't expect any help from you.." She said as she turned to look at the water.

[Kang Ren]

Kang Ren smiled grimly once more. He leaned his head back and smirked, this girl had some spice and he liked that. But he wouldn't deny that Wei could be better. After the wars and the fighting and the taxes the land had become less than it could have. He smiled warmly and asked, "Why are you against Wei so?"

"Ah actually I wouldn't mind helping. I am not like Cao Cao. For if you are my enemy than I shall not, however, if you are neutral well I guess we could talk. Is this fine with you?" Kang Ren asked, "I do remember you throwing a scythe at my head."
