naa mate she ain't new, but is one of the new characters from Samurai warriors 2 xtreme legends.
Though thats kinda new anyway I guess. There is also Toshiie(Thats how they spell it on wikipedia anyway) Maeda and Chōsokabe Motochika.

I Would say SW is better than DW but DW have better graphics than SW and SW have more attacks than DW. ^^
