Coalition.
All members/rulers of the coalition are free to post here. This thread has been created to role play the establishment of the coalition leadership. Every ruler will be a candidate, but only the ruling kingdoms within the coalition may vote. Also, to prevent biased voting only the actual rulers may vote. This is to prevent large kingdoms participating getting to be the ruler simply because they have more people to go ‘YAY’ with.

(OOC: Wasn't exactly sure if this was just an announcement thread, if it is, let me know and I'll delete this post)
As soon as he had received the message, Yuan Shu knew he would have to travel to Chen Liu, in the province of Zhongyuan. He hadn't been too active in the Imperial Court as of late, and was surprised to here of an alliance against Dong Zhuo being formed.
Zhuo was a large and arrogant man who had always been in favor of the Son of Heaven and his Empire. This always irked Shu, as he thought, being a Yuan, that he should, at least have a more significant place in the Court, though he thought himself a much more competent leader than the Emperor could ever be. Now wasn't the time, however.
Nonetheless, Gonglu figured this his chance to show his allegiance for the Han.
He almost immediately started to Chen Liu, not too far from his own land, really. He had few troops after the war, but he would supply what he had and train more for the coming battles, which were, no doubt, inevitable.

It had been a long journey from Wu to Chenliu after recieving the letter for aid concerning the rise of Dong Zhuo. Once a loyal officer of the Han who had fought off the troublesome tribes to the North, and now a tyrant who had caused trouble in the courts and placed a puppet Emperor on the throne so he can have the power.
The Yellow Turbans' aim had been thrawted with the help of the regional lords, but now it was time to eliminate another threat. Once again, the tiger of Jiangdong would come out of the tiger's den to deal with this threat.
Once he arrived, he entered the palace after the guards let him in, and hastened to the main chamber, where he saw only two individuals who must be other regional lords telling by their appearance, but none of them, he could recognise from the battle at Luoyang.
He walked more inside the chamber, then said, "I am Sun Jian, styled Wentai, also known as the Tiger of Jiangdong, I have come to aide you to eliminate the threat of Dong Zhuo".

As Yuan Shu arrived in the palace, he snickered at the guards, they looked mediocre compared to his. Ehh, now wasn't the time of course. He walked through the corridor to the Main Chambers, and sat himself down, greeting Warlord Cao Cao, whom he recognized.
Just as Shu got himself comfortable, another man, a man Yuan Shu vaguely recognized, entered the room, formally introducing himself, of course Shu would do the same.
"Hail. I am Lord Yuan Shu, styled Gonglu, of Wan and Ru Nan. It is a pleasure of meeting another potential member of the coalition." Shu said politely.
He wondered when the other rulers of the land would arrive, or if they would at all.

Rui had sailed for some time to reach the areas of the Zhongyuan region and then he had to further locate the area of Chen Liu. He was exhausted and rather grumpy since his map work had been rather poor meaning someone else had to help him along. He sighed as he arrived in Chen Liu on horse back since the rivers became too narrow for the large ship, the Red Siren, to navigate.
Rui arrived to the palace were he dismounted his steed and let the guards take it to the stables. He showed the guards the letter he had received to prove that he was actually the leader of Hui Ji and not just some pirate looking for trouble. After some bickering he was finally allowed in. Rui gave a sigh of relief before removing his hat since he was indoors.
Rui wandered about and admired the building before he noticed two other men. Rui recognised one to be Sun Jian since the two of them were practically neighbours in the South but the other he did not know. He approached the men in turn and bowed to them showing them respect and proper manners. "Greetings my fellow Lords. I am Lord Rui of the Takiri family, leader of Hui Ji. You may also know of me as the Pirate King." Rui introduced and was honest enough to share the fact that he was a pirate.
"I have come after receiving word about the problems being caused by Dong Zhou. I have a growing army so I'm sure you'll find great use of me in this battle. Plus I have personal matters to settle against Dong Zhou's army." Rui spoke and he started to feel a little nervous about being in the room with two leaders who would either throw his words back in his face or show a false interest.

Sun Jian smiled as Yuan Shu introduced himself and later, a pirate by the name of Rui Takiri who owns Huiji, came also into the chamber, where all those that wished to eliminate Dong Zhuo would met up. However, there was now, only 4 rulers in the chamber, and the question is, would anymore come.
At the Invasion of Luo Yang, he had saw Lu Bu and Gongsun Zan, but Lord Gongsun had not arrived yet. He had also heard reports about the successfull attack on Pu Yang by Cao Cao, along with Yuan Shao and Liu Bei, but none of them had turned up either. The good thing was that there were rulers who were concerned about the welfare of the Han. If the joint forces of the Regional lords could take out the Yellow Turbans, they could do the same with the tyrant Dong Zhuo.
He turned to them, "Pleasure to meet you too Yuan Shu, and you need not concern yourself about me being a potential member of the coalition, as I shall be fighting for the Han against Dong Zhuo, you can count on that", he replied with a smile, before turning to the "Pirate King", "Nice to see you join in the fun too Takiri and make the long trek up here as I have".

As the men began to talk amongst themselves, introducing each other and whatnot, the doors to the main chamber opened once again. This time, two women were standing on the other side. It was the infamous Nohime and Sun Jian's wife, Wu Mei, better known as simply Lady Wu. Nohime had suggested to Mei that they follow Sun Jian to this little meeting. At first, Mei refused, stating that Sun Jian would want to do this on his own, but when Nohime discussed a plan that she had, she happily agreed. When they were confronted with the guards, all Lady Wu had to tell them was that she was Sun Jian's wife and that Nohime was her bodyguard, which wasn't entirely untrue.
As soon as Mei's eyes locked onto Sun Jian she smiled and quietly made her way to her husband's side. "I hope you don't mind, my Lord," she said to him softly. "Nohime pleaded that I lead her here. She had something very important to discuss with the leaders of the Coalition."
"Yes, very important indeed," Nohime said slyly as she made her way into the room. She looked over to Yuan Shu and couldn't help but smirk. "Well, we meet again..." She was of course referring to that day at the inn. Goodness, she sure could unleash a whole lot of information that he had spoken so freely about, but now was not the time. "I beg your forgiveness for arriving here unannounced, my Lord Sun Jian," she then began. "If you'd prefer that I leave, I will do so, but I would much like to discuss a possible tactic that I would like to use when the inevitable battle strikes."

As Yuan Shu finished speaking, a man walked into the chambers, dressed in rather informal clothes. What he said shocked Shu, as well as Sun Jian's response.
He had no clue the Regional Warlords were so friendly to Pirates. "Hmph, I must disagree Lord Sun... In my opinion, Pirates are similar to Bandits and therefore do not even belong near a Lord of the Han."[/b] He said while giving a look to the Pirate King; He then turns, completely to Takiri, while still speaking to Sun Jian.
"If this person truly does rule Hui Ji, he must have plundered and stole the city from the Han. I do not see him to fit in with us legit leaders of the land. I apologize if i offend anyone with my words, but I must do what is best for the Coalition and the Empire." He said.
Then, two woman arrived, a noblewoman, Lady Wu and... Lady Nohime from the bar at Xu Chang. "Do these ladies follow me everywhere?!" Shu thought, smirking.
Nohime then spoke to Gonglu, breaking him of his ponder.
"Ahh yes, and I suppose it is a joy to see you here as well my lady... What are you doing here anyways? You are no regional lord.. Nohime you do not belong here I must say."
Yuan Shu then listened to the woman's "tactics". He snickered at this, but decided to not comment. He thought he'd let the last criticism seep through...

Rui was a little happier with the response he received from Lord Sun Jian and he gave another bow towards the man as a thanks for not simply slapping him in the face with a hand or even with words. Then again looking at the amount of regional lords it was maybe clear that even having the aid of pirates could be a big help due to the small number of men available.
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person Lord Sun Jian, I have heard much from the people about you. I hope I can fight beside you in the future." Rui replied giving a gentle smile which was soon wiped away after receiving the comments from Yuan Shu. He could rather clearly hear the man.
Rui gave a heavy sigh before he turned towards the man. "You are as bad as Lord Lu Bu. At least unlike Lu Bu you haven't lifted a sword and tried to kill me yet and steal my friends." Rui growled getting a little angry as he thought about what had happened on that day. He calmed himself down and turned his back towards Yuan Shu. "You are already judging me without even knowing me..." Rui grumbled as he moved off towards the edge of the room to settle down a little, last thing he wanted to cause was a fight.
Rui's attention soon turned towards the two females that had entered the palace. He looked at them silently and heard the name 'Nohime' being mentioned and he assumed that the other woman was Lord Sun Jian's wife. Both were beautiful but Rui knew he would have to hold his tongue but he decided it would be wise at least to show some manners towards them.
Rui stepped towards them but left a distance between them and he softly bowed towards them. He said nothing as he was quite certain he was not the object of attention and therefore he did not wish to interrupt the conversation. Rui returned to the side of the room and continued to be silent.

Yuan Shu grinned as the table was being set up by servants. The palace and especially these chambers were a nice place, he had to admit. As he looked around the room, the "Pirate King" cut in.
"Hmm, yes? Compare me to the savage Lu Bu again and I'll be forced to have you removed!"... Shu said, with anger.
He calmed himself down however and then spoke again.
"Well... I suppose you are right, I haven't given you chance to prove yourself. If this was any other time I'd have you removed from here as you are part of a Pirate clan and pirates as well as bandits, are vermin to the Han. Nonetheless this is more important at the time.. so I will leave my opinions out... for now." He said, attempting a smile even though he was hiding a scowl.

Rui listened to Yuan Shu and sighed lightly. "I'm not like the other pirates you might know. Besides the pirate family I knew tossed me out and left me to die, I refuse to become a pirate like them. I want to make a new view upon pirates but I guess it can't be helped if people want nothing to do with me. You can't be blamed I guess... maybe comparing you to Lu Bu was a little much." Rui scratched the back his neck and looked at the floor.
"So... what's it like up North?" Rui asked, he was from further South and rarely interacted with the areas of China beyond his homeland of the harbours. He wanted to calm the uneasiness between himself and Yuan Shu, Rui was not the enemy and he never wished to be.

The Pirate King was different than the common swine pillaging villages and sinking Imperial Ships, then proclaiming themselves as Heroes of the Sea - These vermin were known as pirates throughout the land.
He was even different than the animals known for murdering helpless peasants and setting villages ablaze - these pigs were known as bandits.
This man was a friendly sir, and even Gonglu had to admit he felt a sense of a friendly atmosphere among Takiri. He grinned at this since he would no doubt be working with the man throughout his time in the coalition.
"Yes, it was a little much. Lu Bu is a beast of a man who needs to be put down as soon as possible. Comparing me to that brute is like comparing The Emperor to Dong Zhuo!" He yelled, then laughing about it.
It seemed Takiri wanted to make casual conversation with him, this man had a sense of calm that Shu felt, rarely in any warrior, especially a pirate.
"Hmm? Oh, yes, the Northern Lands, especially my region, are filled with beautiful landscapes and calm rivers. We get little rain as compared to the lands of the South, particularly your land, Lord Sun," He said, turning towards The Tiger of Jiang Dong. He then turned back to Rui. "So, yes, it is a beautiful land. Thank you for asking, sir." He said with an honest grin on his face.

Burai was instructed to go to this so called meeting, though he would rather spend his time elsewhere. It would be the perfect chance to meet all the other so-called leaders face to face. So far he had no interest in joining this coalition, though his employer may have thought otherwise.
He arrived late; he was topless, only wearing the bottom of his normal attire. He slinked his way over to the corner being wary to evade the eyes of the others. Burai listened to the conversation. Scanned everyone in the room; sadly with what he seen, he wasn’t impressed. “Is this it? The great leaders that were going to challenge Dong Zhuo?”
Who would lead this bunch or ragtag people? “Tch, Sun Jian…worthless, a pirate king? Hmph, since when do pirates have a king?” Burai stroked the tip of his nose with his index finger. Thinking about how foolish it was to be a king of pirates. Burai looked at Yuan Shu; he was no warrior, what he lacked in strength he made up with that sharp tongue. “If words could cut, he would be an invincible warrior.” Burai chuckled at the thought.
This meeting began to bore seeing how the conversation was going. He decided to interrupt. “OY, Tch you two can flirt and chat idly some other time. I am here to get down to business. Not listen to a bunch of fools idle chit chat about the weather.”

Sun Jian laughed as Yuan Shu attempted to correct him about how he was treating the "Pirate King", but decided not to respond after Takiri answered. It was imperative that all who would respond to this call would bond together. If the bond between coalition members, then the coalition will surely fall and Dong Zhuo would take the advantage, especially since some regional lords had not yet shown up, not even Liu Bei who was loyal to the Han, unless the other lords had other intentions, but not helping the Coalition meant the fate of the land was in the fate of the coalition or Dong Zhuo would continue his tyranny and furthur his power.
It was clear that each member needed to be united not divided, which was why he decided to let Yuan Shu and Rui Takiri get to know each other without his involvement. When Mei and Nohime entered, he was at first concerned that they were here when it was supposed to be the Regional Lords but once Nohime said she had a plan, then it wouldn't hurt for him and the other leaders to listen, though at first, they needed to decide upon a leader before they even think of a plan for stopping Dong Zhuo.
Then a warrior entered who put a stop to Yuan Shu's and Takiri's conversation. Sun Jian smiled then turned to him, "What is your name Warrior? and who do you serve?", to find out what regional lord had sent him, and which regional lord was incapable of coming down himself like the rest of them, even though he and Takiri had travelled the furthest, but guessed each Lord had their reasons.

Kaihime was exhausted after having traveled so far from the Red Siren when the rivers became to narrow for the ship to navigate through safely. She hadn't intended to join in the meeting seeing as she was not of a high enough ranking in her eyes to do so. However shortly after Rui had left the ship on his horse Kaihime was alerted to a very unhappy Tsu. The small monkey was throwing food about in the cabin of the ship being angry that Rui had left him behind. She decided that in order to keep Kenshi from murdering the hapless animal and to keep Rui's health safe she would take Tsu to her Lord; Takiri. The journey was not without troubles, Tsu had decided that running off and disappearing to worry poor Kaihime was hilarious and repeated the joke several times not to mention robbing anyone that they happened to pass by on the roads.
Arriving outside the doors to the meeting Kaihime was stared down by the guards and told she was not allowed to enter. However after several minutes of explaining to them who she was and her reason for being there they patted her down for weapons and allowed her in. Entering the hall by pushing the door with her right arm Kaihime had Tsu tucked up in her left arm holding him much like a small girl would a teddy bear. She looked around at the faces there rather nervously seeing only two familiar faces in the crowd, Yuan Shu and Shigure Burai. She continued scanning the room until she saw Rui. "ah, my lord!" She began fast walking over towards Rui waving one arm at him and holding the mischievious monkey tightly in the other. After the trouble she had had with him on the trip it was instinctive to clutch him tightly.
