Yuan Shao had arrived at the meeting, it was already in full flow. Cao Cao had ruled himself out of running of leadership and in his opinion it was only Cao Cao and himself that should lead the coalition.
He walked into the meeting and caught the end of Yuan Shu's little speech. He walked in whilst speaking "I am not fit to lead the coalition? You think you are is it? what experiance do you have? I don't recall you attending any of the campaigns against the yellow turbans, I have experiance of leading troops and defeating a powerful enemy with inferior numbers. The only reason people know of you is because you are my foolish brother."
After directing his verbal assault at Yuan Shu after he had tried to put down Shao behind his back, he turned to the rest of the men present. "Please do not tell me that you are going to elect someone who tries to make his own allies look bad behind their back and to his allies? We need to be a strong powerful unit, we need to be able to trust each other. We need not be divided by rumors and poisen from other men tongues especially a candidate for leadership."
Shao moved further into the room and took a seat and looked around to see who was here. "Anyone fancy filling me in on what i have missed due to me being late, i apologies for lateness ."

"Hmph, so says the man who arrives hours, if not days late for the meeting. A competent leader you are. Ha Ha Ha. And even worse you send these clowns to represent you!" Shu yelled.
He hadn't been offended by his brother's words;
He already knew Yuan Shao was a moron.

Chen Liu.
It had been several years since Wei Yan had set foot in this area of China, about half a decade to be exact. He had gathered enough of his personal followers to call a small army, and although they weren't the best of disciplined soldiers, they could hold enough of their own in a battle... and possibly lead to a crushing victory with the aid of a few good allies. Allies... The Coalition Against Dong Zhuo had only recently rose as a hastily put together organization, a rather large group in fact that was aiming to bond together against the new threat.
The threat? Dong Zhuo.
Tyranny was honestly no problem to one such as Wei Yan, as long as he wasn't the one directly suffering from it. But just look at the odds. Dong Zhuo had Lu Bu, sure, but even the so-called mightiest of the land wasn't really too great. Other than that, he had a whole bunch of troops. But the Coalition, what did it have? A group of numerous warlords from across the land, each with their own army. So what if Dong Zhuo had the imperial legions at his command? All the rest of China was forming up to take his fat head. Of course, it wasn't like Wei Yan saw the warlords as any better than Zhuo himself; it's just that he would rather be on the victorious side and get his share of the loot.
Silently walking down the hallway toward the door, his double voulge in hand as always, Wei Yan stepped up to the tightly shut door. Completely ignoring the two guards standing beside it, he reached out to heave it open, when the couple moved to intercept him.
"We would like your weapon... sir."
Fear could be sensed in their voices. Fear felt immediately and instinctively upon sight of Wei Yan's appearance. So, the outer shell of a person could so easily make one tremble these days? Fools. Scum. The more one feared Wei Wenchang, the more he would learn to know that he was more than something simply to be "scared of." However, without a word, Wei Yan held his weapon out for one of them to carefully grab and take away, while the other cautiously made way for him.
Many worthless fools. That was what he saw. But then, even fools, when massed up, can kill many lone superiors.
The thud of his heavy footstep echoed throughout the council chamber.
"Wei Yan... is... here...!"

-------------------------------------------------------- “I’m going to tend to some important matters; this coalition has nothing to do with me."
Burai spoke up, the volume of the words indicating that it was directed to Hiei. The assassin would turn his head, locking eyes with the male as he took a step back away from Hiei. What? He was leaving? Hiei raised an eyebrow, his left foot sliding back to allow him to turn more as he followed Burai's departing figure. Now where the hell was that man heading to? He let out a soft grunt. Great. Now he was left here all alone among these bickering lords. He always hated war councils.
However, just a few moments after Burai walked through the door, did Hiei realise his bad luck was simply temporary, for his employer, Lord Yuan Shao, would walk in. Hiei allowed himself a soft smirk. Finally, his presence was no longer required here. He had thought that with Burai's departure, he would have to represent the lord on his own, but that would not be necessary now that he was here himself. Taking a step back, he would let Yuan Shao pass him and onto his seat, the assassin standing there behind him with arms crossed. Why was he staying? Well, there were still a few curious issues that Hiei wanted to handle first.
And besides, that Lu Xiang individual... His presence. It intrigued Hiei.
Yuan Shao proceeded to shoot his own brother down, utterly ruling him out as a possible leader for the coalition, drawing a wider smirk from the assassin. Well, glad that smart-ass was put in place. Hiei was well-informed in the many important figures of China, considering his field of work. And Yuan Shu was actually one of the lords that... Bore Hiei.
"Hmph, so says the man who arrives hours, if not days late for the meeting. A competent leader you are. Ha Ha Ha. And even worse you send these clowns to represent you!" "Watch your tongue, lord Yuan Shu. You may wake up one morning and find this clown holding a blade to your throat. I give a mean wake-up call."
Oh, yes, a threat. A threat from a common assassin to a lord of Han. Was it the smart choice? Well, Hiei could not give two shits. At that moment, he was still smirking, his crimson hues locked upon his employer's brother. Hiei may be smaller compared to the other males in this room like Lu Xiang, but the man still held upon himself an aura of intimidation. After his success in killing Zhang Bo back at Pu Yang, which threw the city into chaos, allowing Yuan Shao and Cao Cao to liberate it with the help of a few other forces, Hiei became quite a popular figure among the well-informed lords of China.
At that moment, Hiei was not afraid. Yuan Shu could send troops after him, or he could get him arrested, but such acts of hostility may just prompt Hiei to stay true to his words.
And then comes in another giant of a man, announcing his arrival in a rather... Unusual fashion. Hiei would allow his glance to leave Yuan Shu for a bit, his crimson hues staring and analysing the council's newcomer, with a persistent question lingering in his head.
"Who the hell is that?" [/size]

Kaihime was doing no more than standing next to her lord taking in the numerous new faces that had arrived to the meeting. So many people she knew nothing of. She saw Burai leave the meeting and wondered where it was that he was going at a time like this. Kaihime's gaze turned to the other two women in the room, Lady Wu and Nohime. The way Nohime dressed told Kaihime she was a seductress, one that used her looks to get men to bow to her wills. Oh how Kaihime disliked people that use their looks as a weapon, why she didn't really know. Just something about it didn't sit right with her. She truly was a beautiful woman however this Kaihime admited, well suited to playing the seductress role.

The man in black had watched enough of the events to assess its outcome. Men came, some even left during the trials of the meeting, and as each man presented his case the atmosphere darkened – something he felt Lu Xiang and he would grow quickly accustomed too.
“This is enough.” He clearly stated, not once leaving his gaze that had comfortable fallen on Yuan Shu.
“Dong Zhuo is united and he is strong, tell me...what’s the worth of bickering in such...dire times?”
He turned his head to Hiei, an assassin, or at least someone who had feigned such a grand title. True assassins’ were never so bold, merely shadows and misfits drawn to the dark to do the bidding of others. Assassins were not rulers, empire builders or diplomats – and his words shared no insight on the man’s intelligence. Another fool among the quarry.
“It would be wise not to bark.” He did not fear the man; only study him with the eye of one who saw beyond the simple act of death. It was a stench after all, something to inhale and remember.
“Yuan Shu is above an assassin, learn your place - and accept Yuan Shao as the coalition leader.”
He sighed for the first time that day, and his eye twitched as it drew to his master, Lu Xiang, “We should just end this, Yuan Shao will be a sufficient ruler if he looks to those who know their place among the stars. We haven’t the time or the luxury to argue like children.”
He almost pleaded, but realised his own act and turned away. He was pissed off, he had never seen so many large men or fame and repute bicker over something so trivial. The rulership of the coalition was only a small matter, something easily filled with men of talent and ability. If Yuan Shao ruled, then he would trust the judgement of the battle to others, and everyone would be appeased in due time.

Rui was growing tired of the constant fighting, if everyone was starting to turn to Lord Yuan Shao for guidance then so be it. "Then since it seems the vote has now passed to Lord Yuan Shao we really should get down to business immediately otherwise the battle will be at our doors before we even have a plan." Rui spoke as he stepped forward a little, now he didn't care anymore if anyone were to listen or not. Being a pirate didn't matter now since he was more interested in making sure the coalition won the war against Dong Zhou.
"We needs plans! Enough mindless bickering and whining! Lord Yuan Shao, our ranks now belong to you so please decide carefully upon each of our duties. Lady Nohime, I understand you wish to speak of strategies and I wish to hear them. Everyone needs to get a say in this since it can draw the line between life and death. No more arguing upon who we happen to be outside this palace, currently we are equal beneath the rule of Lord Yuan Shao." Rui spoke in a serious tone, his eyes shifting between the people in the room. It seemed as if Rui was going to pounce upon the first person to speak out against him, Rui was transforming and evolving and he was going to show that he was ready to unveil a new army to the world.
Rui settled down a little before turning to Kaihime. "Feel free to join in with your suggestions, I know you have a bright mind." Rui smiled softly at the lady, a sense of pride emitted from his body as he gazed upon her.

"Yuan Shao it is.. he shall maintain the main camps and assign roles and positions of duty for the battle."
A grizzly smile upon Lu Xiangs face as the decision passed, his decision. Good. The "heroes" were already accepting their fates to bow before him and his ultimate vision. Plans? We these mortals even worthy to be granted a brain of strategic quality. He didn't care; the enemy was strong.. but Lu Xiang was far stronger. He smiled, counting the remaining people who hadn't quit out early due to lack of discipline. In the end they were also all here for the fate of China; how greedy and selfish it would be to donate it into the hands of Dong Zhuo.
"I will go prepare my army and ride to Hu Lao gate; I don't believe plans are something that are needed to be discussed at this point in time; after all I cannot access how many fiends Dong Zhuo holds beyond his gates. Allow us to assess the situation when we strike first."
Lu Xiang finished, making plans were all good. But they weren't prepared. Let them put a few feet in the mud and prepare a good footing before deciding what to do. Obviously it could be revered and they may suffer for their lack of plans.. but there was little to make plans with.
Lu Xiang bowed his head, to the generals who he considered worthy. Before flicking his cape over his spiked shoulder before thundering down the hall and to the exit, smiling with incredible intentions as he waltzed past Xiang Yu. His job was done, now it was time to take the battle to his cousin. A rivalry that would only end in blood.
Now it was time to return to the darkness.. and prepare an army. The foul gates of brimstone, coal and ore. The smokes and the pyres stretching beyond the skyline would present a horde, a thousand li wide and a thousand long. Dreams were becoming reality.Be Prepared.

Wei Yan glared menacingly, yet silently at the figure leaving, passing close by him yet not even realizing who the man was. Yet Wenchang realized that he had held an arrogant, yet powerful aura about him, a force that could easily be recognized, seen, and felt by any from even the simplest of signs in the giant's words, actions, and the tone of his speech. Even by the way he carried himself... Yet, he was not the only one of such pride in the council chamber. It would one day bring them all down... one day...
So Yuan Shao would be their leader for this coalition? Not quite the able commander nor the leader, but it was doubtful anyhow that the generals would be so easily commanded. It was the better part that their leader was one whom they themselves could easily manipulate and use to their advantage, one quick to wavering, yet on good terms with all. It was just as the emperor was on the throne still, his power robbed from him, yet himself believing that he had the rule of the empire while Dong Zhuo and the rest of the court tyrannized China.
So far, so good...
"Yuan... Shao... Lead... us... well..."
Was it a sentence of opinion, or an imperative order? Difficult to figure out from his broken speech, yet it really worked either way. That and he didn't care how they accepted his words, as long as the results ended out just as he wanted.

Xiang Yu lingered only for a moment before turning to the archway. He had not intended to leave so soon, but Lu Xiang had been right – there was little to no point discussing strategem when there was no intel available. After all, what is a strategy when one does not know the rules of formal intelligence.
“I shall be leaving.” He said. he did not speak loudly, though he did dip his hood as he walked away. He would have said more, but the idealists would not have heard his warning. They would die, one way or another – he doubted the survival of most men in that room. Be it at Hu Lao or not, he saw no glorious future for any of these men or women.
He turned east as he left Chen Liu, and took a carriage to the fort he had helped build. He would prepare his army there, and together, with Lu Xiang – he would destroy Dong Zhuo and his petty empire.

Hmph. It seems everyone agrees on his foolish brother to lead the Coalition. Whatever then, so be it. Just then, the self-titled assassin talk back to Yuan Shu.
"Hmph, common swine shan't offend me; Though you ought-to respect your elders, boy." he said with a sarcastic grin on his face.
Shu couldn't care less anymore who lead this "team".
As that, some lurking beast enter the chambers. @wonderful, I see Lord Cao Cao is not a biased man to let this oaf into his palace." he said, laughing to himself. I just hope he can fight!"
Yuan Shu decided to keep to himself. This meeting was going nowhere anyways..
