"What is your name Warrior? and who do you serve?"
"We serve the lord Yuan Shao, who unfortunately will be quite late or probably would not even be present."
And so said the man that walked into the hall right after Kaihime did. He was clad in a cloak, though unlike many times before, his hood was down this time, revealing the distinct feature of his appearance that easily identified him. His black hair, streaked with blood-like crimson, his equally-hued irises glancing from one individual the other as he slowly made his way to Burai's side. Hiei had never talked to Burai, though he had seen the man once in Yuan Shao's halls before. Another foreign warrior, just like he was, under the payroll of the wealthy man. With the late orders that Hiei had been given to be present here in this meeting, the man had rushed here to assist his fellow comrade.
Under his cloak were his armor, though his weapons had all been confiscated, a requirement that Hiei had reluctantly followed. His boots would go silent as soon as he was of arm's length from Burai, as he allowed himself then to take a second look around the room, taking in the many different faces that the men of Han had to offer. He recognised Sun Jian and Yuan Shu from his research on the Han's officers, though the other male he failed to name. And he had personally met a few of the people in the room too, namely Lady Wu and Nohime, whom he passed subtle nods to as a greeting.
He let out a soft sigh, turning back towards Sun Jian, whose question Hiei had answered for Burai's sake.
"I am Masaaki Hiei, currently under the employment of lord Yuan Shao."
Yeah, well, this would not be the first war council meeting that Hiei had been present in, despite his profession. Let us not forget that before Hiei had been exiled from his own kingdom, he was actually a prince. And with the plans his father had for him, it had been compulsory for the young man to be present at war councils, to expose him to the many situations in war. However, that did not mean that Hiei appreciated being here.
Personally, he would prefer being out in the battlefield, or in a hunt for an expensive head. Ah, well, payroll is payroll. Whatever his paying employer wanted him to do, he would have to comply.

Burai stared at Sun Jian blankly. He was rather annoyed how he addressed him. Burai wasn’t so belligerent, but people the last few days had been pissing him off. He was about to make a crude statement as someone else answered the question for him. Which was probably a good thing, he didn’t want to say too much, but still he was fully capable of speaking for himself.
Burai eyed the man who entered the room; he stood out like a sore thumb. Burai took a moment to looked down and see he was topless. “Oh..right.” He forgot that he stood out as well. To make matters worse the man walked toward him. “Since we work for the same man, I guess this is acceptable..”
Burai was used to being the loner, this was quite the change. Burai folded his arms as Hiei announced himself. “As you heard, I am here cause of my employer. I will say this. Few here has earned by respect, only they’ll get it.” His eyes were fixated “You aren’t one of them.”
He let out a yawn; to show his interest in the meeting. The meeting wasn’t a total waste he got to see the seductress lady Nohime and Kaihime. Burai was rather jealous seeing her go to another man; he glared at the man with hate in his eye. He tried his best to subdue such feelings, acting as if he never saw her. He turned his attention to Hiei. “Oy, I believe this is the first time we met. I am Shigure Burai, you more promising than these fools and our employer. You look as if you would be quite the adversary.”

Sun Jian smiled at Hiei's entrance as he answered his question but was displeased with he who announced himself as Shigure Burai. The question was what had put him in a mood and if it is what he had said, he must of took the greeting the wrong way when what he wanted to do was appreciate his caliber and welcome such a strong looking warrior to the meeting, so he decided to turn his attention to the wider audience, aswell as to Hiei and Kaihime who had just arrived. Hiei had said that Yuan Shao may be late or not attend at all, but the good thing was that he had representatives from his force attend unlike other Lords which was a good sign.
"I welcome you both to this meeting. I understand that many things can go happen within a country and needs the Lords attention, so I thank you for informing us and that you have come in his stead", he responded with a smile, and then commenting on Burai's point of calling them all fools made him smile, so he turned to him, "Fools can be many different people, there can be those that do not act and allow the land to be in chaos and grow, and there can be those who think too highly of themselves which could lead them into trouble such as Dong Zhuo, who has rose to power and now has all of us against him", he paused as he lifted his head up and paced the room, "The Han has been able to prevent any of these happening but due to the Yellow Turbans and Dong Zhuo's reign of tyranny to harm our people and threaten the rest of the land. We must put our differences aside. United we stand but divided we fall. We must join together and learn to work with each other to combat this new threat".
He glanced around the room, then added, "We are not here to argue amongst ourselves but to become as one and prepare to attack Dong Zhuo before he grows even furthur and becomes a bigger threat!". He ended his note and allowed others to continue. Dong Zhuo had to be put down before he got stronger, and they had to work together and learn to work with each other to do this. He just hoped others in the room would have the same mind, and also stop any furthur arguments between each other.

Chen Liu. Dong Zhuo was still raging in the capital, his tyranny endless and unstoppable. None had yet to really battle or at least try to oppose him. ...Why? Maybe the warlords of the realm never had the loyalty to the Han, or at least the heart to work in unison. That was, until every lord of the realm was informed of the coalition. It was the first time in... six years that such a large group had been collected together, the last being the Yellow Turban Rebellion, which Ma Chao had only to hear about, not participate in. The news of the Coalition had immediately brought him to his feet and onto his mount, riding day and night to reach Chen Liu to the north. Alas! It was indeed the homeland of his enemy Cao Cao, but did it matter in such times? He knew he would not strike down a so-called "ally." He was a man of justice, yes, and he would prove it, but at the time, justice called for taking down Dong Zhuo more than a minor warlord of the realm. Cao Cao may have wronged him personally, but Dong Zhuo was wronging the entire Han and the people. Injustice shall not continue. Striding down the hallway of the building, full-clad in his usual battle armor and the white threads of his helmet spraying out to the rear of his headpiece, Ma Chao firmly stepped up to the large doors of the chamber as the two guards nodded and silently opened the doors for him. Hmm. The council chamber. His long spear handed without much hesitance to the guard on his right, Ma Chao stepped into the large hall, the many lords sitting before him at the table. The wide variety of men indeed; some he noticed, one he had met at a restaurant, and some just looked like... pirates? "Greetings," he spoke in a rather loud and booming voice, his stature straight and tall, firm and unmoving like a rock; the polished tiger on his helmet slightly glistening the light off of the candles. "I am Ma Chao, styled Mengqi, of Xi Liang. I come here on behalf of my Lord Liu Bei, who, due to some matters, has been unable to attend the council."Justice is with me."( )

“Oy, I believe this is the first time we met. I am Shigure Burai, you more promising than these fools and our employer. You look as if you would be quite the adversary.”
Although Hiei already knew his name, as Burai already knew his, Hiei figured that it was only proper etiquette that they introduce themselves to each other first. As Burai addressed him, Hiei would allow his eyes to move towards Burai, giving him the respect due as he gave a soft nod of his head, a hospital smirk coming upon his face, adorning his crimson hues.
"Heh, same goes for you, Burai, but let's save that talk for later. Let's just do what we need to do here and get our payroll."
Hiei chuckled, displaying that he was as reluctant to actually be present here as Burai was, his attention then turning back to Sun Jian as the lord of Wu stated his appreciation for their presence in wake of Yuan Shao. The lord would then proceed to counter Burai's earlier act of labeling them all as fools. The speech would come, though Hiei could not personally care. These were not his people. This was not his country. And he was not here for the goodness of all. He was here to earn money and have fun, just as Burai probably was.
He was just as impatient as Burai was then. He wanted to get this meeting over with. However, he kept his feelings silent, knowing that displaying it would only call for more counter-speeches, which would only delay the end of this meeting. He would simply keep quiet, standing calmly by Burai's side. Another lord would come into play, Hiei mentally smirking to himself.
So many expensive heads in this room.
That's just too bad.

Pathetic. Every last worthless worm gathered in one place as they gripped their claws into the ground to scratch for one last pittiful stand against tyranny. Chen Liu wasn't too far from Xia Pi anyways. Summoned by a few of his friends - his oathbrother Liao Wei still existed it would appear. Lu Xiang laughed. How could he refuse the offer of "assisting" this poor excuse for a coalition. So many brave and wonderful people, sarcasm writhed from his very veins.
The dark and collected spiral of the catacombs of his very being. The very truth he'd rather be fighting against these weaklings, but he held a personal grudge with Lu Bu. It would revolt him ever so much to even fight alongside him. Like the concentrated taste of vomitting in your mouth and swallowing it before anyone else notices. Lu Bu was just that. His cousin infact; his family was rather close but there was little proof other than their clan mans to prove their relation. Obviously they contained differences and simularities but other than that he was nothing to Lu Xiang - not that relationship or even blood matters anymore to him.
Now was the matter of Lu Xiang himself, other than being a cold, cruel, evil bastard.. he had everything to back up his cause. He was here for one reason and one reason only. How could he let a swine like Lu Bu tear down these men? It would shame him. He didn't two fucks about money, glory, fame, women, land. Overspent treasures of men who had bled all to well for Lu Xiang in the past.
He was dressed in his full best attire, thick hard spaulders ran across his shoulders. A firm battle piece with his chain mail beneath. A tough leather jerkin dress that ran down to his knees and his huge steel tipped paladin boots creeped along the floor. He didn't need to say a single word, his presence would be received. The coalition would either accept him or reject him and suffer the eternal consquences.
"Lord Lu Xiang, Knight of Xia Pi at your service...."
His tone quiets down before he mutters something beneath his breath. Some sort of curse before arising his head with a troublesome smile upon his face.
"The world is not big enough for two men of the clanname Lu. Allow me to dispatch my cousin personally."

Rui smiled at Yuan Shu seeing that things were settling nicely between them at the current moment in time. If he could keep it that way then the war could be won without the cases of back-stabbing and petty bickering. "I hope to one day get to see the lands of the North, from your description it sounds lovely." Rui spoke before having the rudeness of Shigure Burai interrupt the conversation.
Rui sighed and decided not to really reply to the man so just remained silent and moved away from the group to stand alone near the edge of the room. Rui ran his fingers through his grey hair and looked around the room. He felt rather lonely being the only pirate there, he had no one to really bond with. It was then that he heard Kaihime's voice calling him and the high pitched shriek of Tsu.
Rui lifted his head and looked for Kaihime and soon noticed her moving towards him with Tsu in her hands. Rui ran over to greet the two of them and his expression showed his surprise. "Kaihime... was Tsu causing trouble?" Rui spoke already guessing that the monkey was missing her master and had been causing trouble for the girl. "I'm really sorry if Tsu was being annoying, but it's great to see you here. I was getting a little lonely." Rui replied honestly and he held out his arm so Tsu could crawl up onto his shoulder and settle down.
"Maybe I shouldn't have left you behind, I'm sorry Tsu." Rui spoke as he stroked Tsu before returning his attention to Kaihime. "Would you like to stay here with me until the meeting is finished?" Rui offered as he tenderly displayed a smile to her. He didn't feel right sending the girl away again and also he liked the company.
Rui's attention was soon diverted as more people showed up to the meeting. Hiei, Ma Chao, Lu Xiang... he didn't know any of them and he doubted any of those people would want to know him either so he did not introduce himself. He remained with Kaihime and listened to Sun Jian speak. "I'll make Lu Bu pay for what he did to Kouji... what he did to me and how he nearly doomed Hui Ji." Rui growled in a low voice, he had fought one-on-one with Lu Bu already and he had lost with a severe defeat. He refused to let that happen again, Dong Zhou was just another name to take down.

“Sun Jian…The threat isn’t the one you know; rather it’s the ones close to you.” Burai was hinting at himself. “You are right> The quicker we end this boring get-together. The better off my mood will end.” Suddenly a moron entered the room; Burai never felt such an urge to kill someone, just out of sheer annoyance.
Burai enjoyed being in the company of a man, who knew that he wanted. Hiei was on the same page as him. This was more than pleasing not everyone in here was hopeless. He smirked at Hiei, seems he felt the same way. This was rather amusing and upsetting. They would have to find other means to test their skills.
Burai nodded to him, he just wanted to leave, or go visit Kaihime or Nohime. A room full a men wasn’t fitting. “Hiei, we could catch a fare price for each of one these fools.” He said mockly. The light hearted tone between he and Hiei soon, was filled with laughter.
“LORD Lu Xiang! AHAHAHAHA!” Such rubbish was hilarious. Though Burai looked that man in the eye; he was truly an epitome of cowardice. “Tch, if I wasn’t getting paid…” Burai seemed lost all interest in coalition. Thoughts of joining Dong Zhuo plagued his mind. It would give him a chance to battle Hiei; it would give him a chance to destroy the lot of him.
This meeting was growingduller by the minute. As roaches scurried from every corner of China. “All these bounties, I could waste it all on Sake. Dong Zhuo’s forces are looking quite promising." Sadly Burai’s pride would probably keep him for committing to the coalition. In its current condition it was worthless.

Post by Yuan Shu on Aug 12, 2010 2:37:27 GMT
As Gonglu and Takiri continued talking, a rather large grunt, a man Yuan Shu fondly remembered, entered the chambers. Shu wondered what he was doing here as he vaguely recognized him out of the corner of his eye, still listening to the pirate king as well.
Lord Yuan knew of the warrior's brash temper, something he and Shu could relate to. Though Shu came here with the expectation to engage in long, almost pointless conversation.
He never came here with the thought of seeing all these minor lords and even a pirate. This meeting was pointless because the goal was already set and everybody knew it, well, at least Yuan Shu did; And that was to defeat the traitor Dong Zhuo and his minions.
And it got even more irritating when officers started to enter the room. Shu figured Burai was here representing his brother, Shao; So he didn't think much of it. But when Nohime entered the room, he got annoyed. He didn't much care for the woman in the first place, but when she came with Lord Sun's wife, he felt all the more disturbed.
Then, something occured that made Gonglu sigh- Lady Kaihime entered the palace with a monkey - Yes, A MONKEY. Eck...
Then Burai spoke, after standing, indifferently in the corner for a few minutes, likely eavesdropping on the Allies' conversations.
"Hmm, greetings Burai." He then turned to the rest of the Regional Lords. "The man may be bold but he is also correct. This petty coercing has led us off track on the main reason I traveled all the way here! And that would be to speak of how we will deal with the Tyrant Dong Zhuo...
Though there shan't be much talking; I propose we just kill the bastards: Every last one. Traitors are dogs in my book and we have the man power to destroy every last one of them."
As he spoke, Kaihime cut in at the end and greeted her "Lord" if the pirate could even be called that. Hmph!
"That is not polite. You are not even meant to be here, and you travel here, disrupt our meeting to bring the Pirate "King" his chimp? You insult me!" He said with an angry glare.
And after he spoke, ANOTHER man entered. This one looked rather.. mysterious, clad in a cloaked robe as his attire. Yuan Shu snickered at this - Why not emerge in a more formal array? Whatever. Anyways, he went right over to Shigure Burai and introduced himself to all the regional lords, like Burai serving under Yuan Shao.
Shu didn't feel the need to have two officers representing his brother. This was what Shu was talking about when he said Shao handed over the pay. T'is his men however and Shu didn't care for that matter. Nonetheless, he still felt annoyed.
Yuan Shu again laughed as he listened to Sun Jian's pathetic, friendly attitude towards all that entered without even seeing what they were made of. He couldn't believe how caring the man was. "How does he manage to keep his generals in line?" He thought while yet another man entered.
He recognized this man as well, however he was more glad to see him. This man was Ma Chao, son of Ma Teng. Shu had seen him at a tavern in one of the towns he visited and figured Chao was here representing Liu Bei. Everyone knew Ma Teng was dead from the very man who owned this palace... which is why Yuan Shu wondered why Ma Chao was even here... "Is he planning on assassinating Cao Cao?" Shu thought worriedly.
"Hello, Ma Chao. It is nice to see you again; I sensed you have arrived in the name of Liu Bei. If I may ask, why is he unable to attend such a prominent meeting?" He then turned to Burai and Hiei, "And why is my brother unable also?" Shu said.
He thought it pathetic that these two important men could not arrive for such an important meeting.
Takiri spoke to him again, speaking of his lands. Gonglu already knew of his land's majesty.
"Hm, yes, maybe one day you and your troops could sail there." He said, not meaning it to be sarcastic although he knew it was.
Then, a relatively large man entered. He could see the reluctance of the warrior to even be there. He introduced himself in a rather slow manner, showing his indifference even further.
"Greetings. I am Lord Yuan Shu, styled Gonglu of Wan and Ru Nan. Pleasure to have you aboard." He said with a grin; He knew the man was not a Regional Lord but decided to make a good first impression. The man then revealed he was the cousin of Lu Bu. he thought it humorous that he thought he could take down the animal.
"Hm, really? That is something. Good luck with that." Shu said sarcastically.
Yuan Shu heard Burai mumbling something about Dong Zhuo.
"T'is not promising. Any fool would know that he and his minions shan't live to see the day after this war."
Gonglu scanned the room, looking at the people he would be working with. He wasn't impressed.

Kaihime looked at the now innocently smirking monkey Tsu sitting on Rui's shoulder like a little angel. She felt as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders as she realised that she had gotten the mischievious little pickpocketer to her master safely. She furrowed her eyebrows at the now practically angelic behaving monkey who in return stuck her tongue out at Kaihime. Kaihime immediately returned the gesture by poking her tongue out at Tsu. The two had formed quite the relationship through their trip to the meeting.
she looked back to Rui, "Let's just say the little angel on your shoulder was redecorating the ship" Tsu gasped as Kaihime told Rui of her mischief and Kaihime stuck her tongue out at the monkey once more following the taunt with a wink. "Sure i'll stay" Kaihime smiled, truthfully she was actually dreading the trip back straight away. She stood next to Rui and Tsu who quickly took up the opportunity to grab some of Kaihime's hair and tug at it. Kaihime ignored the small monkey for now as she scanned the room once more. She noticed Shugure Burai standing by a man she did not know. She waved meekly to Burai slightly intimidated by the strangers in the room and not wanting to create a scene. she then snapped back to the now hurting Tsu and began trying to get her hair from the monkey's tiny hands.

“Hiei, we could catch a fare price for each of one these fools.”
Hiei smirked at the realisation that they were pretty much thinking the same thing, a realisation that helped ease the relationship between them by just a tad bit. They were both mercenaries who worked for the highest bidder, who at the moment was Yuan Shao. They cared not about the politics of this country, that was for sure. And apparently, he too realised how rich they could actually get were they to succeed in killing everyone here and getting out. If they actually succeeded, that is. Hiei may be confident in his abilities, but he knew his limits. It was close to impossible, even with the assistance of another.
"Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing."
And as cheery as Burai laughed, Hiei could only smile. Mostly because it was at that moment that another male walked in, this one a large and grand warrior, more a warlord than a knight in Hiei's eyes. And the aura that radiated from this man spoke nothing but battle, death and war. It was a familiar aura to Hiei, but it overcame him like a plague and he flinched slightly in the man's presence. This guy... Was something else. Lu Xiang, as he introduced himself as. And he was Lu Bu's cousin, huh? That explained the aura. Lu Bu was said to be the strongest warrior in all of China. What about his cousin?
"And why is my brother unable also?" "He's your brother. Why don't you ask him?"
Hiei would simply snap back, that smile still plastered upon his face. It was almost as if, despite how sarcastic he seemed, he was serious with what he said. In fact, Hiei himself was not sure. All he had heard from the man was to be present alongside Burai in his stead, for he would probably be late or absent. He never said why. At that, Hiei uncrossed his arms, sighing softly to himself as he realised how much this meeting was dragging, with all the never-ending arrival of new lords. Would they really have to introduce themselves every time that happened?
"Alright, we've all made it clear that all of us are here for either Dong Zhuo or Lu Bu. Either way, all of us are going to be on the same side. This alliance will probably be as short lived as Dong Zhuo's time as a threat, so let's get this over with and address the matter as to why all of us are here. Who will be heading the coalition forces?"
Yeah, bit by bit, Hiei was getting a tad bit impatient, yet he still bore that smile that adorned his face.

Lu Xiang laughed as the escalation scattered around the room, the mixed thoughts of him. The hatred, the drama.. the very things that fed him. Without such calamities he was nothing; he thanks them for being so petty and human and bringing their own grim fates so easily. Lu Xiang served nobody yet; infact he doubted he ever would again - for there was nobody in existence who could fill his needs.
What made Lu Xiang laughed the most was the man before him's attitude. Clearly heavily against Xiang from the queer noises he made from his mouth; his pure body language leaked jealousy, rage, impatience and lack of discipline. He couldn't seem to brush the smile off his face. A rather demon-like coil of either end of his lip, blackened by his very own experiences.
Then came the comment from Yuan Shu; he laughed. Ignoring him for several seconds. The man was very cocky and arrogant. Lu Xiang almost liked it for a second before reminding the man, he stood a little taller and was alot stronger then him.
"You jest about my cousin, yet you lack the arsenal or the warriors to go it alone. Would you rather me assist my own kin and see your reign dead before it comes?"
He laughed, discarding the rest of the mans opinions. Though to be self absorbed in his own self there was a limit. You had to remain firmly in gravity. Lu Bu was a fiercesome foe. They battled and children; around the village - coming home blistered and battered by the wooden swords until Bu finally ran away with his old adoptive father. Things had changed, but the motive inside still burned bright.
"You forget Master Assassin that we are human; it is not in our nature to fall to our knees and allow a single man to gain complete power. Every man is here for themeselves whether they are honest or in denial. I proclaim a diplomatic vote; everyone within this room is allowed a single vote towards the Supreme Commander of this battle. The Supreme Commander will be given the responsibility of assigning titles and tasks in battle? Unless someone else has a better idea?"
He said before stroking his face; this was going to be a long argument in Xiang's eyes. Specially with such greedy hungering humans. He didn't know any of their names; but he didn't need to. He looked around scanning their faces before sighing. Pathetic. Truly pathetic.

Rui felt safer having Tsu on his shoulder once again, it meant his little guardian angel was there to alert him if he was going to have a seizure. He was probably due one by now but he just hoped that it wouldn't happen in front of the other leaders. To see a pirate so helpless would only wound his pride further and he would probably get thrown out because of it.
Rui continued to look around the room at the different faces, each showing a different tale from the past. Though upon seeing Lu Xiang Rui knew the odds were better for winning the up coming battle, but who was to claim the head of the tyrant and of Lu Bu. Rui desperately hoped that he could reach Lu Bu first on the battle field, even if it meant abandoning his army and tracking the man.
Rui's serious aura soon vanished as he noticed Kaihime and Tsu having problems. Rui reached round behind himself and grabbed the monkey's tail and tugged it lightly. "Tsu... let her hair go or I'll yank your tail off." Rui put on a mockingly evil voice to scare Tsu. Tsu stopped pulling Kaihime's hair and scurried off onto Kaihime's shoulder and tried to avoid Rui's dark glare.
Rui felt a strange urge to hold Kaihime and protect her from the watching eyes... he could feel the signs in the air as some of the other males desired to approach the few women in the hall. Rui was just feeling protective... right? Rui felt a little weird as he had these urges but he never carried them out.
Rui felt Tsu return to his shoulder but the monkey kept her tail around Kaihime's shoulders and was prepared to jump between the two humans if either should aggression towards her. Rui smiled and soon started to hear the loud voices as the other men started giving ideas, though each sounded the same so it didn't impress Rui all that much.
"The vote is a good idea, I agree with that. Though once the supreme commander has been picked we need to address ideas and plans that people have. We need to find out who is better in which line of duty and utilise those abilities in forming the greater strategy. Running into battle and having plans made up on the day will get us all killed. We need to assess our troops numbers as well. Putting a 100 man army on the front lines would be stupid so we need careful planning upon all of this to avoid even the slightest error occurring." Rui spoke, he looked confident but he was uneasy on the inside. Then again he was trying to see what type of responses he would receive to help decide who he would vote for.

Yuan Shu continued looking around the chambers, glaring at the men he would be fighting side-by-side with.. He sighed.
Then, Both Hiei and Lu Xiang cut in with a rebuttal to Shu's previous remarks. He decided to ignore Hiei's smart-ass response, but would coerce with Xiang again.
"Hmph, sir, please do not insinuate that my armies are weak. Although I agree that I couldn't face the tyrant alone, my soldiers are anything but weak. And who do you serve..? No one..? A vagrant army, then? Ha Ha! Quiet your mouth then."
Shu said, then immediately shunning Xiang and turning back to his table.
Lu Xiang spoke of the leader of this coalition. Neither Cao Cao nor Sun Jian were fit to lead this force; Yuan Shu was. But he would let these close-minded fools do their talk.
