The atmosphere was a welcome change from the out side's sharp air and hustle and bustle of daily life to the warm inviting and pleasantness of the tavern. A smile grew upon Zhao Dan's face as he scanned one end of the room to the other and at each table there was a group of men hustled round chatting and laughing, forgetting the troubles of the world beyond the door. The warm glow of the candles invited passers by in seeking shelter and a good night. Zhao Dan wandered across the room slowly embracing a feeling with which he hadn't felt in a long...long time. Finally reaching the bar he placed his hand into his pocket to remove some coins and placed them on the with that the barman hurried over with a look of greed upon his greasy face. " A jug full of wine please sir" He nodded slightly gesturing towards the coins that lay in front of him. Without a moment of hesitation he grinned with a nod and swiped up the coins and waddled of to collect the wine. A few short seconds later the pear shaped bartender hobbled back in and held out the large jug before Zhao Dan. Dan smiled and grasped the jug and turned to search for a seat amongst the collecting of friends in there groups. Finally! he thought after what seemed abit of a drawn out few seconds did he spy a table in the far corner of the room by the fire. Zhao Dan squeezed through the tables and chairs and plonked himself down on one of the chairs nearby. Zhao Dan sighed pleasingly as he leaned by and raised the jug to his parched mouth surrounded by the embrace from the fire. There is nothing he could of wanted more than at that moment....

Burai was off loafing around as usually; trying to find something interesting to do. The last couple days had been quite mind blowing in fact he was using this time to get away from all the excitement. He found himself at a tavern; it gave of a warm welcoming auruoa. Burai found that to be quite disturbing. Perhaps he could use this to his advantage.
Burai slowly stepped into the tavern ignoring everyone; he idly made his way to the back of the room. He his trident up against the wall, he put back against it as well and folded his arms. Burai took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He crossed his legs as well. He was trying to get as comfort as possible. Burai tilted his head back until the wall stopped him. He sighed and looked up at the ceiling. He began to think about the last time he went to relax at an inn. A pervy grin stretched across his face. Followed by an odd chuckle. As the thought passed Burai turned his attention to the rest of the bar. What kind of fun would he get into today?

Dan noticed the man as he entered, his eyes followed the man as the rest of his face hid under the rim of the jug. He thought to himself whilst eying the stranger up and down, Surely this wasn't a normal man? Striding in with a weapon and such a bold presence? Clearly a man of the military branch with some authority. Before realizing he had supped the whole jug down while pondering the stranger's profile. He waved his hand in the air and the bartender came over with another large jug of wine, Zhao Dan handed over the coins and yet again as before the pear shaped bartender hobbled off to his station behind the bar. Zhao Dan removed his helmet and placed it beside him and had a few sups from his jug and continued leaning back on his chair. He smiled as the taste of wine fulfilled his sense, a heavyweight drinker and it took a fair few jugs to get him well and truly hammered.

Post by Yuan Shu on Aug 7, 2010 5:24:02 GMT
Yuan Shu was on his way to his brother's kingdom of Nan Pi, with his men he stopped in Ye for a few days. He liked the city, but he did not know if he liked the people. Most were quite rude and belligerent. At least that's what Yuan Shu thought, Even if he was just that.
As he did in most other cities he passed, he decided to relax at the local tavern. As he proceeded to the doorway, he told his guards to wait outside for him, he figured he would only be a short while, anyway.
He entered the tavern, and saw the peasants having a good time.. Some looked Shu's way, but not as much as the previous bars he had went too at cities before Ye. He didn't care today. Shu scanned the Tavern for any approachable beings, He saw only two townspeople out of the ordinary.. A rather large man, standing at the back of the bar with his armed crossed.
This man didn't seem too friendly to Yuan Shu.
He also saw a knight of mid-stature sitting at a table sipping a fine wine. He wore rather heavy armor, armor of a warrior.
Yuan Shu continued into the Tavern, walking up to the counter and speaking to the sleazy-looking villager behind there. Shu spoke to the man politely but impatiently, he noticed they had the rice cakes from back at Xu chang.
Swell, he thought.

Zhao Dan stroked his chin and raised an eyebrow, Now them two men don't look like your average citizen either? What have i stumbled into.. He thought for a moment seeing as the three men were stood without and a seat and yet there were plenty of empty ones hidden from there view by himself. He raised himself slowly from the table trying not to know the table with his drink over. His shoulders folded out to reveal his muscular build and scanned the three meant one to another. " Hey sorry to trouble you three but theres a couple of seats if you want them, nobody else is sat here!?" He gestured with his hand to the empty seats with a quick nod of respect.

(OOC: sorry for the short post)
Yuan Shu walked further in the bar, as he proceeded, he caught in the corner of his eye, Zhang Liao, the knight from Xu Chang.
"Hmph" Shu thought as he continued.
Then, A different warrior called for all three - Liao, Shu, and the tall looking man in the corner.
"Hmm, what does he want?!" Yuan Shu thought.
He started to walk over to the knght.
"Greetings, I am Lord Yuan Shu, styled Gonglu of Ru Nan. And you are?"

(No worries mate) " I'm Zhao Dan warrior and knight of Mayi, It's an Honor to meet you sir I've heard your might and valor! I was just wondering if you wanted a seat seeing as there are no others left?" He bowed his head in respect as he was in the presence of a Lord. Dan placed his hand on the nearest vacant chair and moved it nearer to the lord. He knocked the table slightly and he grabbed his wine with his free hand and a look of relief spread across his face. Bloody close one there! He thought as he looked back up the Yuan Shu with a wry smile and exhaled lightly and then resumed his posture.

Hmm, at least this one had respect, one a Yuan clearly deserved.
"All right, I shall join you. Thank you. You seem Valiant indeed, sir."
Shu said, honestly while sitting down at the small table.
He was having a pretty good day and the Knight seemed quite friendly. So he sat down. He wondered if Liao or the other man would join them.

" As you wish mi'lord, care for a drink?" Zhao Dan pushed one glad to wards him and the large jug of wine in a kindly gesture as he sat back down in his place. The fire nearby set a warm glow to the side of Zhao Dan's face as it crackled away. " I hear you are also looking for officers sire?" Tavern life resumed in the background the people hustling to and from the bar, the pear shaped bar tender grinned greedily as his coffer built up further and further from the thriving and parched customers. The cook and a waitress began hurrying round with plates of varying foods for those whose stomach ached and cried out for food. The waitress carried a look of frustration and anger on her face as she served the drinks and food and took orders. Some of the more daring patted her bottom as she scurried by she was clearly dieing to slap them but carried on in fear of loosing her job. She reached the table were Zhao Dan and Yuan Shu were seated. " May i get you anything?" She asked with a hint of tiredness
Zhao Dan stroked his chin for a second and turned to Yuan Shu and grinned " Hmm may we have more wine and some fine ale?" The waitress scurried of yet again behind the doors to collect the drink.

Gan Ning had already entered the tavern before anyone arrived. He was sitting down at a lone table. His scimitar was in its scabbard on his waist, as was his knives. He shook his head and sat down. He looked around and saw all the warriors enter. He smirked a little bit and shook his head.
He was hoping he could go straight to Wu, but he had a little bit of business here in Ye. Luckily it was taken care of already but he needed to rest before he could start again. He called over a waitress and demanded, "Wine."

People started to come in, none of them struck Burai's interest. How was he supposed to find something to do with all these weak looking fools. "Tch" It annoyed him, two men seemed to glanced at him. "Eh, looking at me? They must've had a glimpse of what a true man looks like."
He chuckled to himself as he watched a few of the men being to mingle. He heard of such weird things, but he never though he would see it with his own eye. The two men were engaging in conversation. A cold chill went down his spine. Drinking with other men he didn't know was something he just didn't do. He would do some with any cute woman, but with another man. Nothing interesting would arise from that encounter. Burai stayed on the wall. He acted as if he wasn't paying attention to anything around him.

Yuan Shu listened, on-and-off to the warrior, Zhao Dan, until he heard him speak of joining Shu's force.
Yuan Shu immediately sat back up formally.
"Ahh, You are looking to join me, eh? Great. I am in need of officers, more than ever, now that the allied forces have risen and War is inevitable. Yuan Shu will not look weak on the battlefield. I will control the land, one way or another!" Shu spoke, getting louder at the end.
He looked around... luckily, no villagers were watching him, only the giant of a warrior he saw when he entered, still standing in the corner.
"Now then, I am glad you will serve under my employ. I pay my men what they are owed, as long as you listen to my commands, on-and-off of the battlefield. Understand, sir?" He said with a smirk on his face.
"Swell", he thought. "More officers means more power in the end!"
A waitress had came over and rudely interrupted the two persons, who were obviously of high-class and importance, especially Gonglu.
Yuan Shu took this offensively, but decided to keep quiet while he thought about the coming wars... He had been invited to defect from the Han along with Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo, why he was even thinking of this was a terrible act. He tried to get it out of his mind, at least for the time being.
As he scanned the bar, he saw a man yelling for a waitress, the man looked like a bandit or pirate. "That's odd..." Shu thought. "I didn't see him when I first came in here."
He stopped looking around, and returned to his table, finally answering the waitress' order:
"I will have a bottle of Ale, and some rice cakes."

" Then you have my word sire and my blades.." He nodded politely to wards the waitress with a cheeky grin and smiled and with that she hobbled away yet again on her little supply run. Zhao Dan grinned as he raised his jug sky wards. " A toast,.... to the forces of Lord Yuan Shu!" He shouted and then downed the jug of wine in one fell swoop. He slammed the jug down onto the table and shouted for more ale and wine to be brought out. The bartender nodded and filled up more mugs he managed to snake his way back to the table to deliver the goods along with what the waitress had brought. Zhao Dan smiled widely his wine stained lips opened. " So mi'lord, What are your orders?" He tilted his head and took another swig from one of the ale jugs. Out the corner of his eye he noticed what he thought at first glance to be some sort of rebel... bandit maybe. Dan eyed up the clothing, the hair and the mans face. Pirate...hmph
